GREAT ESCAPE Family Empowerment & Harvest

Introducing an initiative to empower families in the South Cobb & Smyrna areas. The Great Escape is a fall event to address issues that impede learning for our children. Transiency for the lack of affordable housing and jobs, in-school safety and access to sustainable financial resources all can be deterrents to our youth focusing in the classroom when parents face these obstacles.

This half day program at the A. W. “Tony” Matthews Boys & Girls Club on October 27, 2018 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will be FREE, and will include training sessions on parenting, financial literacy, career planning, job readiness, wealth building and in-school safety. Vendor stations for employment applications, tutoring, home, health, auto and life insurance round out services for family sustainability. Many products will be free to qualifying families.

Designed for parents with school-aged children, the agenda will be accommodating for kids with a large play area, including face painting, playground, games, jumpy houses, arts and crafts, a maze as well as themed entertainment.

Join the Boys & Girls Club, AP Advertising & PR, LLC and other community partners for the Great Escape to a brighter future through access to wealth and academic achievement for South Cobb & Smyrna schools and families.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.
